K2

I recently had the pleasure of rebranding K2; a restaurant situated in Treviso, Italy. The name references the second highest mountain in the world, which immediately inspired me to stand the letters within a mountain of spaghetti.

This design proved to be fun but somewhat challenging. I was determined for the letter outlines to merge as naturally as possible with the pasta itself, and finding the desired balance of messy yet refined line work required many, many scribble experiments.

The dotted pattern helps to subtly fill the empty space, further emphasising the letters for greater readability.

For those of you wondering, “Una Montagna Di Sapori” translates to: “A Mountain of Flavours”.
